Simulation engineering services

Our consultancy expertise for R&D, technical support and training on multiphysics applications

EMC3 Consulting is a consultancy company in numerical simulation for research and development departments. Industrials and academics can contact us as a partner to outsource their multiphysics modelling tasks. Our simulation engineering services include the simulation of new products development or existing ones that need optimisation, technical support to your internal modelling specialists during a peak load, or multiphysics simulation trainings on COMSOL software.

Your simulation project

Our expertise allows us to test, optimise and validate your product design by solving the physical phenomena involved during its lifecycle or manufacturing process through the use of numerous mathematical methods such as finite elements (FEM), boundary elements (BEM), ray tracing, discontinuous Galerkin (dG-FEM).

When you are in touch to tell us about your product and needs, we will build a statement of work of the simulation assumptions that best fit to your application, based on your available data inputs.

Your COMSOL training

We offer a range of training courses for COMSOL Multiphysics® users to develop their knowledge and autonomy on this leading numerical simulation software.

The main course is an intensive 2-day course for beginners to get them started on COMSOL.
This course is regularly held in French in Marseille and Bordeaux, but it has also been held – on request – in English and onsite.
Other custom courses on specific applications from our area of expertise are available on request.

Your technical assistance

We support you and your simulation engineers through the development stage of your ongoing project.
We can intervene remotely or onsite, on a per-hour or per-day basis. This service is particularly suitable for emergency situations or when a sudden workload puts at risk your project deadline.

Even though our main simulation tool is COMSOL Multiphysics® we can also work with other softwares and in cooperation with some of our partners.

Success story from client

EMC3 Consulting’s expertise and responsiveness were crucial to study the technical feasibility of a pyrotechnical system which was installed in an extreme environment of high temperature. We managed to show our customers that our product was the ideal solution to their needs and we could choose with them the best configuration of the product’s design and materials thanks to the results of the numerical simulation.

About EMC3 Consulting, simulation engineering services

Thomas Clavet, founder and principal engineer at EMC3 Consulting, is an Arts et Métiers ParisTech engineer and holds a Master of Science in mechanical engineering and numerical methods from the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) of Stockholm, Sweden.

After experiences as a mechanical engineer in the nuclear industry, and as an applications engineer at COMSOL® in the UK and Ireland, where he met and trained many COMSOL Multiphysics® users, Thomas decided to found EMC3 Consulting in 2014.
